As Jack Frost flew thru the forest, spreading frost and startling birds as they began to wake up, he was struck by a sudden thought.
“Today’s my birthday!” He said with a laugh, scaring a few more birds, causing them to fly up into the air. While people never noticed him, animals almost always seemed to notice something. He shot up into the air and turned towards the place he’d come to think of home. As he sped above the clouds, carried by the wind, he hummed happy birthday to himself while he planned all the shenanigans he could pull off to celebrate. When he got to the town, he dropped down and skated around the lake, creating frost on the place that he had risen out of 10 years ago on a cold winter night. He shot up into the air and looked down, admiring his handiwork. Though he had done this many times, he stilled loved to watch the frost form on the lake, spreading, shimmering, until the ice was covered. He smiled, then turned with a mischievous smile and flew towards the town. On his way there, he spotted two girls walking along the path, wearing dresses and hats that looked much too fancy for a walk in the woods. Jack decided that this looked like the perfect opportunity for some fun. He swooped down and flew right past them, grabbing their hats off their heads, and causing their skirts to fly up in the wind. One of them, slightly shorter with soft brown hair, reached up and cried, “No! Not my hat!” Jack stopped short and turned, dropping the other girl’s hat in the process. The taller girl, with long blonde hair, chased after it while it flew in the wind. But Jack wasn’t paying attention to her. He landed lightly on a tree branch, staring at the brown haired girl as she looked around, hoping to find her hat somewhere.
“That voice,” Jack whispered. “I know that voice.”
He floated closer, watching her. He didn’t know why, but he wanted to help this girl. He glanced at the hat in his hand, then at the girl, still looking for this hat. He jumped down from the tree branch and gently set her hat on her head. She glanced up, and the look on her face was so shocked that Jack couldn’t help but laugh out loud. The girl jumped a bit, and then turned in his direction, looking frantically as if she had heard him.
“Jack…?” She whispered, sounding both scared and hopeful at the same time. Jack looked at her with an expression even more shocked then hers had been.
“You… Can you… Can you see me?” Jack asked, staring at her. But then she took a hesitant step forward, passing right through him.
“But you heard me,” Jack said, heartbroken. “You said my name.” He walked around her and looked into her eyes, and was shocked to see that there were… tears in her eyes? But then her friend ran up behind her and grabbed her hand.
“Come on! We’ll be late!” she said as she pulled her along the path. Jack watched her for a second more, until he heard kids laughing off in the distance. He shot up into the air and looked out. The village kids were having a snowball fight! Without him! Quick as a flash, Jack flew off to join him, leaving only a few snowflakes and an echo of laughter to show that he had ever been there. But, if he had stayed for just a moment longer, he might have seen the blonde girl turn to her friend. He might have heard her ask, “Ok, Pippa, what’s wrong?”
And he would have heard the brown haired girl, Pippa, answer, “It’s been 10 years since that day. Today... would have been Jack’s birthday.”

Just in case you didn't catch this, the girl was Jack's sister. I think her name is Pippa, but I've also heard Sarah. I personally think Pippa is a bit of a cooler name for the little sister of Jack Frost, but that's just me.
Poor Pippa!! She lost her big brother!! It must ahve been so awful! And even though he came back, but he doesn't even remember her!! And imagine, if he came back to the town a lot, he might have seen her a ton!! And never known!! WHY?!?!?!

very nice mate frost didn't even remember he had a sister well he did but not that much I loved this though
